Pascal PETITJEAN, Singapore

After Pascal graduated from the engineering school of Lyon, France, he became Plant Manager in the family-run business – Petitjean S.A. (a world leader in street and stadium lighting poles).
He then moved to Singapore in 1987 as their Asia Business Director.
Pascal created Partex International in 1993 – distributing electrical and lighting products across Asia and one year later, he co-founded Airstar ( France ) – the inventor and world’s leader of the innovative lighting balloon.
He takes care of the Airstar business in Asia Pacific with an extensive network of distributors and went on to incorporate Airstar Japan in 2009 under the flagship of Partex International.

His main achievements :

  • 1996 – WTO Closing Ceremony Singapore
  • 1997 – Hong Kong Hand-Over
  • 1999 – China’s 50th Anniversary in Tiananmen Square
  • 2000 – Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony
  • 2008 –Awarded the project to light the prestigious Grand Prix F1 Night race in Singapore and this has been an on-going since
  • 2009 – Airstar created the largest 14m Helium Lighting Balloon for Federation Square in Melbourne during the Winter Festival
  • 2010 – Awarded 2 light installations for the Singapore i-light Festival at Marina Bay on light sustainability for the future

Pascal’s passion over the years in developing new products and applications and his relentless pursuit of excellence and perfection have catapulted him into a leading artist in Light Design and Installation .

 

 

Sébastien PHAL, Japan

Sébastien has over 10 years of business experience in Japan. He built up his career in the Asia-Pacific region as a Consultant in the Exhibition and Event Industries. He is highly experienced in all aspects of Event Planning, Project Management, Design and Engineering. He was responsible for the logistics and project management for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
Sébastien is the Managing Director of Airstar Japan since 2010 and he oversees all Airstar activities in Japan across many industries.
Achievements with Airstar Japan:

  • 2010 – Fuji TV Entertainment /” Tosochu ” Show, Airstar 5m Helium balloon
  • 2011 – Darley Annual Event ,Airstar x3 Dome Project

Imelda LAYANTO, Indonesia

Imelda possesses over 13 years of international experience in the M.I.C.E industry. She has worked for several top Professional Conference Organisers (PCO) in Jakarta and Paris organising high profile and large-scale international events for government agencies such as the United Nations, OPEC, ASEAN Parliamentary Union before settling in Singapore the last 9 years. During her tenure in Singapore, she has assumed the following roles:

 

  • Director/Founder of Carpe Diem Connections Pte Ltd, an integrated event marketing agency specialising in the M.I.C.E. industry since 2007.
  • Head of Event Services for the inaugural Singapore Youth Olympic Games that took place in 2010.

Early this year, Imelda was intrigued by Airstar’s innovative lighting solutions and strongly believe that they will add value to the event scene and other industries in Indonesia. Adding on to Airstar Asia network is the newly opened Jakarta office spearheaded by Imelda. Airstar Indonesia aims to provide the local industry with a whole new experience through their unique and creative lighting.

 

 

Mark CHUA, Malaysia

Mark has over 16 years of experience in Event Management in Malaysia. He is the distributor of Airstar products & combined with other innovative products, he formed Cool Merchant Connections .
With a tagline “how cool is that!” ? he promises to “wow” and offer hyped up solutions to the market. He is the “go to” person when clients are looking for unique ideas to spice up any event .

His solutions are featured in most of the prominent events in Malaysia – mega style concerts, product launches, sporting events & other corporate & private functions.

 

 

Simon LEE, Australia

Simon Lee has been involved with lighting for over 30 years, his origin being in Film Lighting.
As a Gaffer, he worked on countless television commercials and many major feature films. Credits include “Babe” and “Babe 2”, “Mission Impossible 2” and “Moulin Rouge”. His skills include the feasibility of logistics and rental requirements on equipments with films such as “Superman”, “King Kong”, “Australia” and “Avatar” just to name a few.
His understanding on light, location, technical and creative objectives, budget and time constraints is extensive.
He now brings his passion for lighting into the Events arena.
With a focus on Airstar Lighting Balloons. Simon believes his lighting design and technical skills can contribute to the creativity of special events in Australia.
Creative Light Pty Ltd – a distributor of Airstar supplies the unique and innovative French lighting balloons for a wide variety of events and applications .

 

 

Eunyoung (Leina) LEE, South-Korea

Eunyoung is currently the Managing Director at Highlight Stage Lighting and Illuspace Inc.

Business focus : Mega scale Fashion shows with major luxury brands – Chanel and Louis Vuitton ,
Gala events , Branding and launching of major brand functions.
She’s also a Lighting Consultant for hotel conventions .
1994-1997 – Lighting designer at Jinheung Stage lighting.
1998-2002 – Senior Lighting Director at Intro Stage lighting.
2003-2012  – founded Highlight Stage lighting
2012 – established Illuspace Inc.
